About Ours

Ours is an alternative rock band from New Jersey, founded in 1994 and led by the multifaceted singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist Jimmy Gnecco. Renowned for their eclectic sound, Ours transcends conventional genre boundaries by blending emotional intensity with sonic innovation. Over the years, they have carved out a distinctive niche in contemporary music, delivering powerful live performances and deeply personal, universally resonant lyrics.

The band’s reputation grew through extensive touring with prominent rock acts such as The Cult, The Wallflowers, Powderfinger, and Filter. Gnecco’s collaborations and shared stages with artists like Lana Del Rey, A-Ha, Citizen Cope, and The Gutter Twins have further enriched Ours’ artistic depth. In 2024, Gnecco fronted the project Humanist during a European tour alongside Depeche Mode and Jane's Addiction, followed by a solo UK tour, underscoring his continual evolution as an artist.

Ours’ latest album, "New Age Heroine" (2024), exemplifies their ability to channel complex human emotions—love, compassion, forgiveness—into transcendent musical narratives. This release complements earlier works like "Encore" and "Rocket’s Red Glare," showcasing the band’s unique talent for fusing heartfelt authenticity with broad appeal.
