About Kalash

Kévin Valleray, known professionally as Kalash, is a French rapper born on June 12, 1998, in Strasbourg. Of Martinique descent, he has carved out a unique niche in the French hip-hop scene by blending Caribbean rhythms with urban rap beats, creating a vibrant and distinctive sound. Kalash first attracted attention with his debut album *Kaos* (2016), featuring standout tracks such as "Bando," "Rouge et Blue" with Booba, and "Danjé," which introduced his signature fusion of genres.

His breakthrough came with the 2017 single "Mwaka Moon," a collaboration with Belgian rapper Damso that topped the French charts and solidified his place as a rising star. Kalash continued to build on this momentum with his 2019 album *Diamond Rock*, which reached number 14 on the French Albums Chart and included hits like "Bonda Manman'w." Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a broad range of artists, including prominent figures such as Niska, Lacrim, Gazo, Hamza, Wejdene, and influential Caribbean musicians like Mavado and Vybz Kartel.

In 2022, Kalash released *Tombolo*, an album that climbed to number two in France, driven by the popular single "I Love You," once again featuring Damso. Kalash’s dynamic blend of Caribbean influences and French rap continues to captivate audiences, establishing him as a distinctive voice in contemporary urban music.
