About Linda Lee Hopkins

Linda Lee Hopkins, hailing from North Carolina, is a distinguished vocalist whose journey from esteemed collaborator to captivating solo artist has left a lasting imprint on the music world. Relocating to Paris in the early 1990s, Hopkins quickly became a vital presence in the French music scene, renowned for her versatile voice and professional artistry both in studios and on stage. Throughout her career, she lent her remarkable vocal talents to legendary artists such as Nino Ferrer, Bernard Lavilliers, Bob Sinclar, Gloria Gaynor, and Percy Sledge. Beyond collaborations, she demonstrated her leadership and deep roots in gospel music by directing the monumental Gospel pour 100 Voix choir, a collective of 100 voices that highlighted her command of spiritual and choral traditions.

A defining chapter in Hopkins’s artistic evolution emerged when Ben l’Oncle Soul introduced her to guitarist Christophe Lardeau. This meeting sparked a creative partnership that resulted in the 12-track album "Spirit & Soul," a vibrant blend of soul, gospel, and blues. The album showcases Hopkins’s rich, expressive voice and heartfelt songwriting, offering an authentic glimpse into her personality and profound musical mastery.
