About Dan Croll

Dan Croll is an English singer-songwriter hailing from Newcastle-under-Lyme, Staffordshire, who has crafted a distinctive place in contemporary indie-pop through his introspective storytelling and genre-blending sound. A graduate of the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, Croll first gained widespread attention with his breakout single "From Nowhere," which was prominently featured in the global launch of Apple’s iPhone 6. This early success helped establish his reputation for heartfelt lyrics paired with eclectic instrumentation, making his music a natural fit for major brands like Burberry, Paul Smith, and the Grand Theft Auto and FIFA video game franchises.

In 2018, seeking a fresh creative chapter, Dan Croll relocated from Liverpool to Los Angeles. His West Coast experience became the foundation for his 2019 album "Grand Plan," a record shaped by the Laurel Canyon singer-songwriter tradition, capturing the uncertainties and newfound sense of belonging during his first year in a new city. Returning from Los Angeles after five years, Croll released "Fools" (2023), co-produced with longtime collaborator Matthew E. White at Montrose Recording in Richmond, Virginia. This album reflects a personal and artistic crossroads, balancing warmth and wit while grappling with the question of returning home.

Over the years, Dan Croll has toured alongside notable acts such as Imagine Dragons, Bastille, Haim, London Grammar, and Bombay Bicycle Club. His evolving sound—an adventurous blend of indie-pop and soulful storytelling—continues to resonate widely, ensuring his lasting impact on the modern music landscape.
