About Ovy on the Drums

Ovy on the Drums, born in 1991 in Medellín, Colombia, is a Grammy and Latin Grammy-winning music producer, artist, and songwriter who has become a defining force in contemporary Latin urban music. His breakthrough came through producing for Karol G, most notably crafting the global smash hit "Tusa" featuring Nicki Minaj. This track propelled him into international acclaim and showcased his talent for blending reggaeton with crossover appeal.

Ovy on the Drums served as executive producer on Karol G’s critically acclaimed album "MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO" (2023), which soared to number one on the Billboard 200. The album earned prestigious honors, including Album of the Year at the Latin Grammys and Best Urbano Album at the Grammys, cementing his reputation as a powerhouse producer. Beyond Karol G, he played a pivotal role in Paulo Londra’s debut album "Homerun" (2019), producing hits like "Adán y Eva" and "Chica Paranormal," which collectively amassed over a billion streams shortly after release.

His versatile production credits extend to collaborations with major artists such as Bad Bunny, Quavo, Anuel AA, Becky G, Steve Aoki, Maluma, and Tini.
