About Hector Oaks

Hector Oaks is a pioneering vinyl-only techno DJ and producer who emerged from Spain’s vibrant 1990s rave scene, particularly within Madrid’s underground culture. His signature sound is a rich fusion of hypnotic ghetto-tech, acid techno, technopunk, and gritty post-industrial textures, seamlessly blended with influences from Wave, Body Music, Proto-Techno, Bacalao, and Berlin techno. This eclectic style stems from his deep passion for crate-digging in record shops worldwide, which fuels his innovative and dynamic sets.

After relocating to Berlin, Hector Oaks quickly became a key figure in the city’s thriving techno scene. His technical precision and fiery unpredictability have earned him residencies and headline performances at legendary venues such as Berghain, Amnesia, and Bassiani, where his energetic style—epitomized in tracks like "Fuego"—continues to ignite dance floors around the globe. Beyond clubs, Oaks has cemented his reputation through impactful appearances at major European and international festivals, including Awakenings, Dekmantel, Sónar, Time Warp, Monegros, Sziget, and Tomorrowland.

As the founder of the KAOS and OAKS record labels, Hector Oaks plays a vital role in shaping contemporary techno’s underground landscape. His acclaimed back-to-back set with Richie Hawtin at Sónar Lisbon stands out as a landmark moment, highlighting his ability to craft unforgettable live experiences. With his unwavering dedication to vinyl and deep musical intuition, Hector Oaks remains one of Europe’s most compelling and influential techno artists.
