About Manifa

Manifa is a seminal punk rock band rooted in the industrial towns of Errepelega and Barakaldo in Bilbao, Spain. For over two decades, they have built a fierce reputation as stalwarts of the Basque underground music scene. With six studio albums to their name, including the critically acclaimed *Dispara* (2023) and their latest LP *Asesinos*, Manifa channels the defiant voices of society’s outcasts—jesters, witches, pirates, and rebels who have long faced persecution. Their lyrics blend sharp social satire with powerful cultural critique, establishing them as uncompromising commentators on contemporary struggles.

Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2023, Manifa marked the milestone with a dynamic commemorative tour, sharing stages with like-minded bands and reaffirming their role as a leading force in Spain’s alternative music landscape. Their live shows are renowned for their theatricality and intensity, incorporating masks, fire, and battle paint to create an atmosphere reminiscent of ancient pagan rituals, a testament to their commitment to immersive and rebellious performances.

As traditional rock ‘n’ roll faces uncertain futures, Manifa stands unyielding, ready to shatter conventions and keep the punk spirit alive. Their relentless energy and uncompromising message ensure they remain one of Spain’s most enduring and influential punk outfits, inspiring new generations to resist and revolt through music.
