About Karim Soliman

Karim Soliman, born in Cairo, Egypt, in 1991, is a dual Egyptian-Dutch DJ and producer who has made a significant mark on the European electronic music scene. After moving to Rotterdam in 2002, he quickly immersed himself in the city’s vibrant electronic dance culture. Passionate about house music, Soliman began organizing underground raves with friends, cultivating a deep connection to the genre’s rich heritage and dynamic evolution.

His breakthrough came in 2011 when he won the prestigious Michel de Hey DJ contest, an achievement that propelled his career and led to the creation of the DJ collective Give Soul. Over the years, Karim Soliman has become a mainstay at major Dutch festivals such as Free Your Mind, Toffler, and Boothstock, while also holding regular residencies at key venues including Fuse in Brussels, Thuishaven in Amsterdam, BASIS in Utrecht, and notable Rotterdam spots like Toffler, Now & Wow, and Colorado Charlie in Scheveningen.

Karim’s signature sound artfully blends the timeless grooves of classic Chicago house with fresh, contemporary tech-house elements. This seamless fusion creates sets that are both sophisticated and pulsating, earning him respect as a cultural bridge-builder within Europe’s underground dance music community. Through his dynamic performances and commitment to collective creativity, Karim Soliman continues to elevate the house music experience for audiences across the continent.
