About Psychic & Wellbeing Event

Psychic & Wellbeing Event is a Brighton-based post-emo and slacker-rock trio that has been crafting a distinctive sludge-pop sound since their teenage years. Formed by frontman Morgan Pile alongside twins Ioni and Eva Morton, longtime friends and family members, the band blends raw, gritty noise with fuzzy, melodic hooks. Their music channels deeply introspective themes, focusing on fractured friendships and the anxieties of young adulthood, delivering emotionally charged performances that resonate as a cathartic outlet for both the band and their listeners.

Embodying a fiercely independent, DIY ethos, Psychic & Wellbeing Event self-produces their music, videos, and merchandise, maintaining complete creative control and authenticity. Their self-described "garbage-truck, meat-machine" approach highlights a commitment to rawness and messiness in their sound and image. The trio gained recognition within Brighton’s vibrant local scene by supporting acts such as Weatherday, SUDS, and Me Rex, and appearing at notable festivals including Homegrown and 234 Fest.

In November 2024, Psychic & Wellbeing Event marked a pivotal moment in their evolving career with the release of their debut EP "Existence, or Whatever," produced by longtime collaborator Kim Jarvis. This release solidified their reputation as a compelling force in contemporary post-emo and slacker rock, continuing to carve out a unique space with their heartfelt lyrics and distinctive sludge-pop style.
