About Coilguns

Coilguns is a dynamic four-piece band originating from Switzerland’s vibrant underground music scene, known for their exhilarating blend of punk intensity and noise-rock experimentation. Comprising Jona Nido on guitar, Louis Jucker’s visceral vocals, Kevin Galland on moog and bass, and Luc Hess behind the drums, the group channels relentless energy and melodic aggression that echoes the styles of bands like IDLES, The Mars Volta, and Converge. Their uncompromising sound delivers raw, boundary-pushing performances that have earned them acclaim throughout Europe’s punk and hardcore circuits.

Coilguns rose to prominence through their incendiary live shows, sharing stages with heavyweights such as Baroness and Mastodon. Festival appearances at Hellfest, Paléo, Greenfield, and Motocultor have further solidified their reputation as trailblazers in modern punk-rock. Beyond their music, guitarist Jona Nido plays a vital role in nurturing Switzerland’s independent music scene through his Humus Records label, fostering emerging artists and a thriving community.

With a distinct, high-impact sound grounded in raw emotion and experimentation, Coilguns continues to make waves across Europe, captivating fans and critics alike. Their dedication to delivering unfiltered, high-energy experiences ensures their lasting influence in the evolution of contemporary punk and noise rock.
