About TEAR DUNGEON

Emerging from the raw, unforgiving underground of Austin, Texas, TEAR DUNGEON has carved out a fierce reputation as a noise-punk juggernaut. The band’s sound is a relentless blend of heavy, distorted riffs reminiscent of the Melvins but drenched in abrasive intensity and chaotic urgency. Critics have likened their music to the visceral fury of Rollins-era Black Flag, filtered through layers of doomy distortion and explosive noise that disrupt any preconceived notion of punk rock.

Known for their signature gimp masks and electrifying stage presence, TEAR DUNGEON transforms live shows into full-scale sonic exorcisms—intense performances that merge the raw power of basement punk eruptions with striking, sharp lighting. Their concerts are far from conventional gigs; they are cathartic, emotional explosions, delivering a brutal yet strangely inviting form of Texan hospitality. This unique approach to live performance and sound has established TEAR DUNGEON as a crucial act within the noise-punk scene, celebrated for pushing the boundaries of musical chaos and intensity.

Over time, TEAR DUNGEON’s blend of turbulent soundscapes and physical performance has won them a dedicated following, making the band essential listening for audiences drawn to the most extreme and unfiltered expressions of punk’s raw energy.
