About Cala Vento

Cala Vento is a dynamic Spanish alternative rock duo renowned for their innovative sound and hands-on approach to music creation. Formed by Aleix and Joan, the band solidified their standing in Spain’s vibrant rock scene with the release of *Balanceo* (2019), an album that not only earned critical acclaim but also marked the launch of Montgrí, their independent record label. Montgrí has since become a creative hub for notable Spanish acts such as Lagartija Nick, Vulk, Biznaga, Yawners, and Los Manises.

After a four-year hiatus, Cala Vento returned with their highly anticipated album *Casa Linda*, showcasing a bold evolution in their artistry. Embracing a steadfast DIY ethos, the duo constructed their own recording studio during the pandemic, emphasizing their commitment to creative independence. This self-built environment allowed them to take full control of the production process, collaborating with esteemed producers including Martin Glover, known as "Youth," Emili Bosch, Santi García, and mixing engineer Jordi Mora.

*Casa Linda* reflects Cala Vento’s restless creativity and refusal to conform to traditional paths. Their innovative songwriting and meticulous production underscore their role as trailblazers in Spain’s alternative rock landscape, continually pushing boundaries and redefining how music is made. This album reinforces their reputation as pioneering musicians who combine raw energy with thoughtful craftsmanship.
