About The Southern River Band

Hailing from Thornlie, a suburb of Perth, The Southern River Band has earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most electrifying live rock acts. Known for their explosive energy and engaging performances, the band’s relentless touring and dynamic stage presence have made them favorites across the country. In 2019, The Southern River Band captivated audiences nationwide with their high-octane "Mega Rock Party" tour, solidifying their place on the Australian rock scene.

That same year, they released their critically acclaimed second album, *Rumour & Innuendo* (2019), which drew widespread praise from fans and music critics alike. Riding this wave of momentum, The Southern River Band kicked off 2020 with a landmark performance alongside Australian rock legends Cold Chisel, entertaining a crowd of over 16,000 on New Year’s Eve. Their impressive touring credentials also include sharing stages with renowned Australian acts such as Birds of Tokyo, Jebediah, Gyroscope, Wolfmother, Grinspoon, and Amyl & The Sniffers.

Expanding their reach beyond Australian shores, the band supported British rock icons The Darkness on a major national tour, further cementing their status as Thornlie's most celebrated musical export. Continually pushing creative boundaries and delivering unforgettable live shows, The Southern River Band remains poised for an even more remarkable future in the rock music landscape.
