About Super 400

Super 400, a powerhouse rock trio from Troy, New York, formed in 1996 and swiftly rose to legendary status in the Capital District and beyond. Comprising Joe Daley on drums, Kenny Hohman on guitar and vocals, and Lori Friday on electric bass, the band is celebrated for their electrifying live shows that blend the raw energy of 1960s and 1970s heavy rock with a modern melodic pop sensibility. This fusion created a distinctive sound that resonated with audiences nationwide and internationally, fueling sold-out tours across the United States and Europe.

A significant milestone in the band’s career came with the release of their acclaimed album "Sweet Fist" (recorded at the iconic Ardent Studios in Memphis, Tennessee), which cemented their reputation for sonic excellence. Their relentless stage presence and authentic rock spirit earned them features on national television and opportunities to compose music for popular American TV programs.

Super 400’s impact on their hometown was formally recognized in 2006 when Troy’s mayor declared February 25 “Super 400 Day,” celebrating a decade since their first jam session. Their enduring contribution to the regional music scene was further acknowledged in 2022 with their induction into the Capital Region’s Eddies Music Hall of Fame and being named Best Rock Band. With a passionate commitment to delivering unforgettable rock performances, Super 400 remains a vital force in American rock music.
