About Aiko el grupo

Aiko el Grupo is a dynamic punk-pop trio hailing from Madrid, Spain, composed of Tere (guitar and vocals), Lara (guitar and vocals), and Bárbara (keyboards and vocals). The band emerged spontaneously one creative evening, fueled by camaraderie and inspiration, quickly carving out a niche in Madrid’s independent music scene. Their sound masterfully blends the upbeat, catchy energy of punk-pop influences like Joanna Gruesome, Veronica Falls, and Comet Gain with the rebellious riot grrrl spirit of American trailblazers such as Le Tigre, Bratmobile, and Bikini Kill.

Known for their infectious youthful exuberance and compelling three-part harmonies, Aiko el Grupo channels raw passion and rebellious attitude through sharp melodies and versatile instrumentation. Tere’s experience, gained from her work with other Madrid-based acts Yawners and Repion, adds a rich dynamic to the band’s sound. Their performances and recordings resonate powerfully with both punk purists and fans of modern alternative rock.

Combining technical skill with emotional intensity, Aiko el Grupo stands out as an exciting and authentic voice in contemporary Spanish music. As their momentum grows, listeners eagerly await their future sonic explorations and the bold directions this promising trio will pursue.
