About Swae Lee

Khalif Malik Ibn Shaman Brown, professionally known as Swae Lee, hails from Inglewood, California, and is best known as one half of the Southern hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd. Developing a passion for music around the age of eleven during his formative years in Texas, Swae Lee immersed himself in production and audio mixing, laying the foundation for his distinctive sound. As the melodic cornerstone of Rae Sremmurd, he helped the group rise to prominence through their innovative blend of hip-hop and catchy hooks.

Beyond his work with the duo, Swae Lee has carved out a successful solo career marked by genre-defying versatility. He effortlessly fuses hip-hop, R&B, and electronica, moving between infectious crooning and heartfelt ballads. His solo hits include the 20x Platinum-certified "Sunflower" with Post Malone and the Diamond-certified singles "Unforgettable," featuring French Montana, and "Sicko Mode" alongside Travis Scott. Notably, Swae Lee’s songwriting talents extend to major hits such as Beyoncé’s critically acclaimed "Formation," underscoring his creative influence across the music industry.

Renowned for his dynamic vocal range and genre-blending artistry, Swae Lee continues to push the boundaries of modern music. His innovative approach and compelling storytelling cement his status as a transformative figure in contemporary hip-hop and melodic expression.
