About 玉置成実

Nami Tamaki (玉置成実), born on June 1, 1988, in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan, rose to prominence in the Japanese pop music scene with her 2003 debut single "Believe" under Sony Music Entertainment. She gained widespread acclaim by performing four theme songs for the influential anime series *Mobile Suit Gundam SEED* and its sequel *Gundam SEED Destiny*. These tracks, featuring both opening and ending themes, helped her achieve multiple number-one spots on the Oricon weekly charts, solidifying her status as a leading J-pop artist.

Beyond her vocal achievements, Tamaki has demonstrated exceptional versatility as a performer. She expanded her career into musical theater, starring in major Broadway-style productions such as *Sweet Charity*, *All Shook Up*, *Anything Goes*, and *Kinky Boots*, where her dynamic stage presence and singing talent earned critical praise. Her success on stage is complemented by appearances in film, showcasing her multifaceted artistic abilities.

In 2017, Tamaki transitioned to the agency Highway Star, marking a new chapter focused on balancing her flourishing theatrical work with renewed musical pursuits.
