About Balkan Paradise Orchestra

Balkan Paradise Orchestra (BPO) is a Barcelona-based ensemble founded in 2015, born from a shared passion for Balkan brass music and a desire to bring vibrant fanfare experiences to life. Rooted initially in traditional Balkan tunes, the group has since woven together Iberian and global influences, creating an eclectic, festive sound that blends elements of jazz, classical, and world music traditions. Each member’s diverse musical background enriches their dynamic performances, setting them apart in the contemporary folk and world music scenes.

Known for their high-energy and choreographed shows, BPO has honed a captivating stage presence through extensive appearances at street and circus festivals, enchanting audiences of all ages with infectious joy and a spirit of camaraderie. Over the years, they have released three full-length albums and an EP, earning prominent accolades such as the Best Folk Album at the Enderrock Awards (2018) and Best International Tour at the Arc Awards (2022).

Their latest album, "Nèctar" (2024), draws inspiration from the collaborative spirit of bees, merging electronic, pop, disco, and Balkan sounds. The record balances lively dance tracks with introspective acoustic moments, reflecting the band’s ever-evolving artistry. Following successful tours in Barcelona, Madrid, and seven countries including the United States, Balkan Paradise Orchestra continues their "Nèctar" Tour into 2025, performing across Europe and North America. Notably, they collaborated with Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade on a Vogue Spain video celebrating Día de Muertos, showcasing their versatile creative reach and international appeal.
