About Octopuz

Octopuz is a dynamic heavy stoner rock and metal band originating from Semarang, Indonesia, celebrated for their gritty and powerful sound. Drawing inspiration from classic stoner metal pioneers, Octopuz infuses their music with a distinct Southeast Asian flavor, creating heavy, groove-laden tracks defined by thick, fuzz-drenched guitar tones and thunderous rhythms. Their style skillfully melds robust instrumentation with doom-laden atmospheres and aggressive metal intensity, delivering a raw energy often likened to the fiery spirit of moonshine that fuels their creative drive.

Emerging from Indonesia’s vibrant underground metal scene, Octopuz has built a dedicated following through their uncompromising sonic approach and electrifying live performances. Their commitment to an authentic and hard-hitting sound positions them as notable contributors to the regional stoner rock landscape, proving that this genre thrives far beyond its traditional Western roots. By embracing the DIY ethos of heavy music culture, Octopuz continues to push boundaries within the genre, blending powerful riffs with resonant grooves that captivate stoner metal enthusiasts worldwide. With a unique blend of cultural influences and relentless passion, Octopuz stands out as a formidable force in today’s global heavy music scene.
