About Courteeners

Courteeners are a prominent British indie rock band formed in Manchester in 2006. The core lineup features frontman Liam Fray alongside Conan Moores and Michael Campbell, with touring members Joe Cross and Elina Lin supporting their live performances. The band first captured widespread attention with their debut album, *St. Jude* (2008), which solidified their status in the UK music scene. Remarkably, a 2023 reissue of *St. Jude* soared to the top of the UK Album Charts, fifteen years after its original release, underscoring the album’s enduring appeal.

Known for their blend of infectious indie rock and sharp, emotive songwriting, Courteeners have earned multiple BPI certifications, including Platinum, three Gold, and two Silver awards. Their 2020 album, *More. Again. Forever.*, was critically acclaimed for its confident and cohesive sound, marking a creative high point for the band. Continuing to evolve, their forthcoming album *Pink Cactus Café*, set for release in October 2024 via Ignition Records, showcases a collaborative spirit. This record sees Fray co-producing alongside contributions from notable artists such as DMA’S, Brooke Combe, members of The Coral and Blossoms, Bipolar Sunshine, and Theo Hutchcraft of Hurts.

Recognized for their powerful live shows and evocative lyrics, Courteeners were honored as Band of the Year at the Nordoff Robbins Northern Music Awards in 2024. Their recent single "Solitude Of The Night Bus" offers a preview of the innovative direction that defines their latest work, further cementing their legacy within British indie rock.
