About Peggy Gou

Peggy Gou is a South Korean-born DJ, producer, and songwriter who has become a defining figure in the global electronic music scene. Born in 1991 in Incheon, she began her musical journey in 2009, initially learning beatmatching in Korea before refining her craft while studying at the London College of Fashion. Relocating to Berlin, Gou quickly immersed herself in the city’s vibrant underground scene, where her eclectic style—blending techno, house, and electro—set her apart.

Her international breakthrough came in 2016 with a series of influential EPs, including notable releases on Radio Slave’s Rekids label and Phonica White. This momentum peaked with her 2018 single "It Makes You Forget (Itgehane)," which showcased her distinctive Korean-language vocals layered over deep house and post-disco rhythms. The track, featured on her *Once* EP released through Ninja Tune, earned widespread acclaim and bridged cultural boundaries within electronic music.

Continuing her innovative streak, Peggy Gou released the *Moment* EP (2019) and compiled the critically praised *DJ-Kicks* mix the same year, further cementing her reputation for genre-defying sets. Mainstream success followed with the viral 2023 dance-pop hit "(It Goes Like) Nanana," which dominated global charts. This track, along with her collaboration with Lenny Kravitz, "I Believe in Love Again," anchored her highly anticipated debut album *I Hear You* (2024).

Celebrated for her dynamic performances and boundary-pushing productions, Peggy Gou remains a pioneering voice who seamlessly blends her cultural roots with contemporary electronic music.
