About Felipe Baldomir

Felipe Baldomir is a vibrant indie-folk singer-songwriter hailing from Uruguay who has firmly established his musical career in Byron Bay, Australia. Since relocating in 2018, Felipe has cultivated a distinctive coastal sound that blends folk roots with groovy guitar riffs, atmospheric synths, dynamic percussion, and soulful saxophone melodies. His style often invites comparisons to acclaimed artists such as Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, and Tash Sultana.

Embracing a nomadic lifestyle, Baldomir converted a campervan into a mobile home and recording studio, allowing him to tour extensively across Australia and beyond. Starting his journey with street busking and intimate backyard gigs, his grassroots hustle earned him support slots alongside respected artists like Kim Churchill, The Dreggs, and Hollow Coves. His rising profile led to headline shows with sold-out crowds and standout festival appearances at the Queenscliff Music Festival and Ocean Sounds.

Over recent years, Felipe has performed over 200 shows across six continents, gracing stages at notable festivals including Cigale in Canada, Splashy Fen in South Africa, and Heitere Open Air in Switzerland. His third album, "Tides" (2024), marked a key milestone, fueling successful international tours and growing acclaim. Looking ahead, Baldomir is set to release his forthcoming EP, "Strangers, Lovers" (February 2025), accompanied by a global tour spanning Australia, the UK, and Europe, promising to expand his vibrant musical journey even further.
