About Youthstar

London-born MC and vocalist Youthstar has built a compelling career spanning over two decades, evolving from drum and bass roots into a leading figure in alternative hip-hop and urban music. His journey began in France’s vibrant drum and bass scene (2004–2009), where he collaborated closely with Elisa Do Brazil. In 2009, he became the live MC and host for the trailblazing electronic act Dirtyphonics, a role that showcased his dynamic stage presence.

In 2011, Youthstar embarked on a creative partnership with Austrian duo Camo & Krooked, contributing his versatile vocal style to their productions until 2016. Around 2014, a significant artistic shift saw him joining the eclectic French collective Chinese Man. Fully committing by 2016, this collaboration marked his departure from drum and bass and an embrace of broader sonic landscapes, pushing him firmly into alternative hip-hop realms.

As a frontman on tours such as *Groove Sessions Volume 3*, *Shikantaza*, *GS5*, and *We’ve Been Here Before*, Youthstar established himself as a charismatic force on stage. His solo EPs on Chinese Man Records—"SAMOD" and "Back To The Sauce" (featuring artists like Dope DOD, Deluxe, Big Red, and Foreign Beggars, with production by Senbei)—further cemented his reputation.

Partnering with Miscellaneous from Chill Bump, Youthstar released the album "Out Past Curfew" (2021), followed by the EP "Stranger Times" (2022) and the album "Salvation" (2023), which included collaborations with Biga Ranx and ASM. A nationwide tour with DJ VeX in 2023 kept his momentum strong. Looking ahead, Youthstar continues to captivate audiences worldwide, with fresh music anticipated in 2025 and ongoing appearances alongside Chinese Man, affirming his dynamic presence in modern urban music.
