About Restos

Restos emerged from the vibrant Austin music scene as the creative continuation of the beloved band Western Youth. Comprising Graham Weber (vocals/guitar), Mark Nathan (lead guitar), Chris Spencer (bass), Sam Powell (keys), and Brian Bowe (drums), Restos infuse classic country rock with fresh energy and heartfelt melodies. Their debut album, *Ain’t Dead Yet* (2023), recorded at Spoon’s Jim Eno’s famed Public Hi-Fi studio and engineered by Charles Godfrey—renowned for work with Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Whiskey Myers—was launched to a sold-out crowd at Austin’s iconic Continental Club. The record’s sound has drawn critical comparisons to The Byrds and Tom Petty, spotlighting catchy hooks balanced with genuine emotional depth. Guest vocalist Jaimee Harris contributes to four tracks, enriching Restos’ collaborative spirit.

In 2024, Restos broadened their musical palette with two distinctive singles: a spirited rock cover of Townes Van Zandt’s "Pancho and Lefty" and a laid-back rendition of Magnolia Electric Co.’s "Leave the City." The band also upheld their tradition of RestFest, a two-night celebration held at Austin’s C-Boys Heart & Soul, cementing their local impact. Marking a new chapter, Restos prepared for their European debut with an extensive eleven-show tour across Spain, signaling their growing international presence. With a compelling blend of solid musicianship and timeless influences, Restos continues to redefine Austin’s rock landscape.
