About Les Discrets

Les Discrets is a pioneering French post-metal band formed in 2003 by multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and visual artist Fursy Teyssier. Initially conceived as a side project during Teyssier’s involvement with groups like Phest and Amesoeurs, Les Discrets gradually evolved into a full-fledged band featuring vocalist Audrey Hadorn and drummer Winterhalter, who is also known for his work with the acclaimed French band Alcest. Renowned for blending atmospheric post-rock with blackened shoegaze, Les Discrets create a cinematic and immersive sound that transcends traditional metal boundaries.

The band’s breakthrough came in 2009 when they signed with Prophecy Productions and released a split EP with Alcest, setting the stage for their debut album, "Septembre et Ses Dernières Pensées" (2010). Their sophomore release, "Ariettes Oubliées" (2012), further solidified their ethereal style and earned critical praise within the post-metal and blackgaze communities. Following lineup changes in 2013—when Winterhalter and bassist Neige left to focus on Alcest—Teyssier and Hadorn remained at the helm, steering Les Discrets toward their third album, "Prédateurs" (2017).

Celebrated for their artful fusion of sound and visuals, Les Discrets continue to influence and shape the evolving landscape of post-metal, maintaining a dedicated following through their atmospheric and emotionally charged compositions.
