About Djeff

Djeff, born in Lisbon to African heritage, is a distinguished DJ and producer renowned for blending diverse musical influences from Europe, America, Asia, and Africa into his house music productions. Growing up immersed in European and American pop and soul alongside rich African rhythms, he developed a unique sound that celebrates global house culture while honoring his multicultural roots. His passion for electronic music ignited early, culminating in his role as a resident DJ by 2002. After relocating to Angola in 2008, Djeff embarked on his production career, releasing his debut single "Canjika" (2010) on Pandora Records. The track earned acclaim from influential figures such as Louie Vega, marking his emergence on the international scene.

In 2011, Djeff founded Kazukuta Records, solidifying his artistic identity. His 2013 release "Soldier Ascension" gathered support from notable DJs including Tony Humphries, Boddhi Satva, and Rancido. The evolution of his sound is showcased in his third album, "Gratitude" (2017), which reflects his matured style. By 2018, Djeff was performing at some of the world’s most iconic venues, including Berlin’s Watergate, Paris’s Rex Club, Ibiza’s Privilege, and Italy’s Fabrica. That same year, his single "Labyrinth" reached number one on Traxsource, while "Zugu Zugu," a collaboration with Zakes Bantwini released on Spinnin Deep, received widespread support from industry heavyweights like Pete Tong, Black Coffee, and Major Lazer. Further highlighting his soulful approach, Djeff’s "WELA," featuring vocals by Soulstar, stands out as an anthem of connection and universal love.

With a career that bridges continents and cultures, Djeff continues to shape the global house music landscape through his innovative sound and dynamic performances.
