About Gallops

Gallops is a British band renowned for their fearless innovation and evolving soundscapes within the realms of electronic and experimental music. They burst onto the scene with their debut album, "Yours Sincerely, Dr. Hardcore" (2013), delivering an intense, MIDI-driven outsider rock style marked by chaotic energy and raw texture. After a deliberate three-year hiatus, Gallops reemerged with a refined and more focused approach on their sophomore album, "Bronze Mystic" (2018). This record blended soaring post-rock atmospheres, dark ambient textures, and industrial noise, all energized by persistent four-to-the-floor electronic beats.

The band’s dynamic transformation propelled them onto international stages, where immersive audio-visual performances won acclaim at renowned festivals such as Roadburn, ArcTangent, and SXSW. In 2022, Gallops further pushed boundaries through a trio of self-released singles that explored motorik electronica and sonic experiments inspired by machine learning. These releases included innovative remixes by artists like Maes Y Circles, worriedaboutsatan, and Adam Betts, known for his collaborations with Goldie and Squarepusher.

Continuing their quest for sonic evolution, Gallops unveiled the EP "The Offa Society For Psychical Research" in November 2023 via their own label, SKANDALKONZERT. With a steadfast commitment to experimentation and reinvention, Gallops remains a vital force in contemporary electronic music, constantly redefining the possibilities of sound.
