About Kah'Nya

Kah’Nya, born Khanyakude Dhliwayo in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe, is an emerging singer-songwriter renowned for her deeply personal storytelling and rich cultural influences. Discovering her passion for music at just ten years old, she began singing and playing guitar, weaving her love for creative writing into evocative songwriting. Early performances at school events and acoustic nights at The Oasis—hosted by fellow Zimbabwean artist Tariro Negitare—helped Kah’Nya craft her distinctive, nuanced sound.

In May 2021, she released her debut single, "Waste Your Time," a poignant exploration of heartbreak and emotional neglect. By the age of fifteen, Kah’Nya unveiled her first album, *Ulterior* (2022), a compelling collection of songs reflecting various life experiences and showcasing her sophisticated lyricism. Relocating to the United Kingdom in early 2023 marked a turning point, broadening her audience and musical horizons. With over 50,000 streams, Kah’Nya continues to blend her Zimbabwean heritage with heartfelt narratives, establishing herself as a unique and evolving voice in contemporary music.
