About Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds emerged in October 2011 as the solo project of Noel Gallagher, the former lead guitarist and chief songwriter of the legendary British band Oasis. Their self-titled debut album instantly made an impact, earning double platinum certification in the UK and selling over 2.5 million copies worldwide. This launch marked a pivotal fresh start for Gallagher’s songwriting outside Oasis, grounding the band’s sound in alternative and psychedelic rock with his unmistakable lyrical style.

Following extensive touring that spanned more than 150 shows across 32 countries, the band released their second album, "Chasing Yesterday" (2015), supported by another busy international tour. Their third studio effort, "Who Built The Moon?" (2017), saw a creative collaboration with acclaimed producer David Holmes, blending genre influences that expanded their sonic landscape and earned critical acclaim.

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have maintained a strong presence on the live circuit, including tours opening for major acts like U2 and Smashing Pumpkins. In 2021, they commemorated a decade of music with a best-of compilation, "Back The Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)," their fourth consecutive UK No.1 album and Noel’s twelfth career chart-topper. Most recently, the group released "Council Skies" (2023), featuring singles such as "Pretty Boy," "Easy Now," and the title track, reaffirming their blend of melodic rock and innovative storytelling. Their evolving sound and relentless touring continue to solidify Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds as a defining act in contemporary British rock.
