About The Bloody Beetroots

The Bloody Beetroots is the innovative electronic-rock project spearheaded by Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, who launched the act in 2006 by blending his classical music background with punk rock energy and cutting-edge electronic production. Drawing inspiration from comic book aesthetics and underground culture, Rifo crafted a distinct rock-electronic hybrid that became a defining force in the rise of American EDM.

The Bleeding Beetroots first gained widespread acclaim with their debut album, *Romborama* (2009), which featured the breakout track "Warp 1.9" in collaboration with Steve Aoki. This song played a pivotal role in igniting the late-2000s electronic dance music boom in the U.S. Building on this momentum, their sophomore album *Hide* (2013) showcased Rifo’s versatility through collaborations with iconic musicians like Paul McCartney and Tommy Lee, blending alternative rock with electronic beats.

In 2017, *The Great Electronic Swindle* further pushed genre boundaries, with guest appearances from Perry Farrell, Jet, Gallows, and Deap Vally. The Bloody Beetroots continued evolving with the *Heavy* EP (2019), teaming up with Zhu and Dr. Fresch, and the *The Catastrophists* EP (2021), which featured guitarist Tom Morello. Beyond studio work, Rifo created the complete 16-track soundtrack for the video game RiMS Racing, showcasing his broad creative range.

Known for energetic live shows and electrifying DJ sets, The Bloody Beetroots have headlined worldwide tours and appeared at major festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza, Primavera, and Fuji Rock. Their ability to merge electronic music with punk and rock influences has cemented their status as a pioneering and boundary-pushing act in modern music.
