About And So I Watch You From Afar

And So I Watch You From Afar is a Belfast-based instrumental post-rock band that formed in 2005, born out of the northern Irish skateboarding scene. Known for their fearless DIY ethos and relentless independence, the group has built a global following through extensive touring across Europe, the United States, Russia, China, Southeast Asia, Central America, and Australia since 2006. Their music is characterized by dynamic, experimental soundscapes that constantly evolve, driven by the band’s mantra to “DO THE SCARY THING,” which fuels their exploration of bold new sonic territories.

Their 2022 album, "Jettison," received widespread critical acclaim for its ambitious multimedia approach and diverse collaborations, showcasing an adventurous spirit of creativity and community. Following this, the 2023 release "Megafauna" marked a return to a more traditional band format while maintaining a powerful statement of resilience and unity. This record reflects a post-pandemic world’s yearning for connection, celebrating togetherness and collective strength through thunderous, evocative compositions.

With their vibrant live performances and innovative projects, And So I Watch You From Afar continues to stand as a pioneering force in contemporary post-rock. Their evolving sound and commitment to artistic risk-taking ensure their place at the forefront of independent music, inspiring fans worldwide with every new chapter they create.
