About R.Wan

R.Wan, born Erwan Seguillon in Paris, is a celebrated French musician renowned for his dynamic role as the lead vocalist and co-founder of the genre-defying band Java. Established in 1997 alongside François Xavier Bossard (Fixi), Jérôme Boivin (Pépouseman), and Alexis (Bistrol Banto), Java quickly made a mark in the French music scene with their energetic performances and innovative blend of styles. Their debut album, "Hawaï" (2000), released under Sony's S.M.A.L.L. label, showcased their unique sound, which they captured live in "Sur Seine" (2001). The band’s commercial breakthrough came with "Safari Croisière" (2003), which reached number 31 on the French album charts.

Parallel to his success with Java, R.Wan embarked on a solo career in the mid-2000s, revealing a more personal and eclectic musical direction. His debut solo album, "Radio Cortex" (2006), released on Makasound, featured the hit single "Lâche l'Affaire," highlighting his versatility as both a singer and songwriter. He followed this with "Radio Cortex, Vol. 2" (2008), which included the well-received track "Demain," further cementing his reputation as an innovative artist within the French music landscape. Balancing collaborative energy and introspective songwriting, R.Wan continues to be a compelling figure, blending vibrant rhythms with thoughtful lyricism across his projects.
