About Kings of Leon

Kings of Leon, the Tennessee-based rock band, consists of brothers Caleb (guitar and vocals), Nathan (drums), Jared (bass), and their cousin Matthew Followill (guitar). Formed in 1999, they quickly emerged as a defining force in alternative rock with their gritty southern-infused sound blended with garage rock influences. Their debut album, "Youth & Young Manhood" (2003), set the stage for a prolific career spanning eight studio albums, including landmark releases such as "Aha Shake Heartbreak" (2004), "Because of the Times" (2007), and the internationally successful "Only by the Night" (2008).

Kings of Leon’s commercial breakthrough came with "Only by the Night," which propelled hit singles like "Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody" into global charts, cementing their international acclaim. Their 2016 album "WALLS" marked their first number-one debut on the Billboard 200. Following albums like "Mechanical Bull" (2013) and "When You See Yourself" (2021) further showcased their evolving sound and sustained success. Their ninth album, "Can We Please Have Fun," is set for release on May 10 via Capitol Records.

With over 20 million albums and nearly 40 million singles sold worldwide, Kings of Leon have earned multiple accolades, including eight Grammy nominations with three wins, Brit Awards, NME Awards, and a Juno Award. They have headlined major music festivals such as Bonnaroo, Glastonbury, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, solidifying their reputation as one of the most influential and enduring rock acts of the 21st century.
