About 水曜日のカンパネラ

水曜日のカンパネラ (Wednesday Campanella) is a pioneering Japanese electronic music group founded in 2013, renowned for their innovative fusion of electropop and eclectic visual storytelling. The original lineup featured KOM_I as the charismatic frontwoman and lead vocalist, while Kenmochi Hidefumi crafted the group’s distinctive sound, and Dir.F oversaw production aspects behind the scenes. KOM_I remained the sole public face of the group for nearly a decade, captivating audiences with theatrical performances that helped establish 水曜日のカンパネラ as a major force within Japan’s electronic music scene.

The group underwent a significant transformation in September 2021, when KOM_I departed, ushering in a new era with Utaha as the lead vocalist. This lineup shift was marked by the release of the single "Alice/Buckingham" (2021) in October, signaling their continued creative evolution. Their first EP featuring Utaha, titled "Neon" (2022), further showcased the band’s evolving sound. That year, 水曜日のカンパネラ embarked on the nationwide "Wednesday Campanella Joint Tour - 2022 ~Neo poem~," culminating in a sold-out solo concert at Tokyo’s Ebisu Liquidroom—a testament to their enduring popularity and ability to reinvent themselves.

Known for blending cutting-edge electronic beats with poetic and often surreal narratives, 水曜日のカンパネラ remains a dynamic and influential presence in modern Japanese music, continually pushing the boundaries of genre and performance.
