About Skrillex

Sonny Moore, professionally known as Skrillex, is a pioneering figure in electronic music originating from Los Angeles. Beginning his career in 2004 as the lead vocalist for the post-hardcore band From First To Last, Moore recorded two albums before leaving at 19 to pursue a solo path. In 2009, he transitioned into electronic music, releasing his early EPs under the Skrillex name on Myspace. His breakthrough came with the 2010 EP "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites," which skyrocketed him to international fame, earning multiple Grammy Awards and cementing his status as one of the genre’s most influential artists.

Skrillex holds the record for the most Grammy wins by an electronic artist, with eight accolades recognizing his innovation and impact. MTV named him Electronic Dance Music Artist of the Year, reflecting his importance within the EDM scene. Known for blending aggressive dubstep basslines with melodic elements, his sound has influenced countless producers worldwide.

His collaborative ventures span a diverse roster of artists, including Justin Bieber, Kanye West, FKA twigs, Camila Cabello, and more. Notably, his work with Bieber on tracks like the 4x platinum-certified "Where Are Ü Now" from the Jack Ü project with Diplo, and the 8x platinum "Sorry," solidified his mainstream appeal. Beyond performing, Skrillex founded the OWSLA label, instrumental in launching the careers of major electronic acts such as Marshmello, Zedd, Porter Robinson, and Mija.
