About Daddy Squad

Daddy Squad is the dynamic solo project of Andrew Armstrong, widely recognized as one half of the acclaimed electro-pop duo Monarchy. With a rich background in production, songwriting, and remixing, Armstrong has left an indelible mark on modern music through collaborations with iconic artists such as Dita Von Teese, Blondie, Charli XCX, Kelis, Kylie Minogue, OMD, Lady Gaga, Jamiroquai, and SIA. His global presence extends beyond the studio, having performed at major festivals like Coachella, Lovebox, Low Festival, BBK, and Sonorama across Europe, the United States, South Korea, and Mexico.

Transitioning from Monarchy to Daddy Squad, Armstrong embraces a fearless musical philosophy that blends genres seamlessly. Drawing from decades of diverse influences—including disco, synthpop, early rave, breakbeat, house, French touch, and electro-pop—Daddy Squad defies categorization, crafting a sound Armstrong describes as a fusion of wonky pop and analog club beats. The project launched with a high-profile collaboration featuring burlesque icon Dita Von Teese and has since fostered partnerships with synth-pop veterans Zoot Woman, house pioneer S’Express, Polish dark wave artist Baasch, Brazilian DJ Renato Cohen, and French chanteuse Corine.

Daddy Squad’s inventive productions have attracted remixes from electronic heavyweights such as Lauer, Digitalism, Hifi Sean, and Club Domani. Through this ever-evolving musical journey, Daddy Squad continues to push creative boundaries, offering fresh and electrifying compositions that challenge convention and captivate listeners worldwide.
