About Mor Elian

Mor Elian is a pioneering producer and DJ renowned for her atmospheric electro-techno, seamlessly blending intricate drum patterns with influences from techno, UK garage, house, drum’n’bass, reggae, and hip-hop. Born and raised in Tel Aviv, a city celebrated for its vibrant nightlife, she developed a deep-rooted passion for underground electronic music by immersing herself in local raves. In 2005, Elian relocated to Los Angeles, where she curated innovative DJ events that introduced West Coast audiences to Detroit techno legends like K-Hand and Andrés. Her association with the influential Dublab radio collective proved transformative, culminating in her monthly show, Plaza 2 Plaza, which featured collaborations with artists such as Cut Chemist and Duppy Gun.

Elian’s production journey began with minimalist club tracks, marked by her 2015 debut EP, "323 to Plaza," released on Prime Numbers. Over time, her sound evolved into more experimental terrain, showcasing complex, broken rhythms and a rich fusion of electronic styles. In Berlin—where she settled by 2017—she co-founded the Fever AM label with Rhyw from Cassegrain, launching it with her "Cymatic Ring" EP. Her prolific 2018 releases, including "Fairplex Drive" on Delta Funktionen’s Radio Matrix and the acclaimed "Persona Non Grata" EP on Hypercolour, cemented her status as a visionary figure within the global underground dance music scene. Splitting her time between Berlin and Los Angeles, Mor Elian continues to push the boundaries of electronic music with a distinct and evolving sound.
