About Russian Red

Russian Red is the stage name of Lourdes Hernández, a Madrid-born singer-songwriter who emerged as a compelling voice in the Spanish indie music scene with her 2008 debut album, "I Love Your Glasses." Infused with intimate folk-pop melodies and heartfelt lyrics, the album quickly captured both national and international attention, establishing her as a distinctive artist. Over the years, Russian Red has evolved artistically through subsequent albums such as "Fuerteventura" (2011) and "Agent Cooper" (2014), each reflecting her growth in songwriting and emotional depth.

In 2017, she took a creative turn with the self-released cover album "Karaoke," showcasing her versatility and interpretative skills. Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2013, Russian Red has significantly expanded her global reach, touring extensively across Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the United States. Her unique blend of English and Spanish influences, along with her evocative storytelling and melodic charm, has won her a devoted fanbase beyond the Spanish-speaking world.
