About MC GW

MC GW, born Gláucio William on January 22, 1992, in São João de Meriti, Rio de Janeiro, is a celebrated figure in Brazilian funk music. Before launching his solo career at 19, MC GW cultivated his musical foundation performing with various samba groups, a background that enriched his distinctive rhythmic style. He first rose to national prominence in 2013 with the breakout hit "Sarra Novinha no Grau," a song that quickly became a staple at parties and on radio stations throughout Brazil.

After a period of fluctuating visibility, MC GW revitalized his career in 2016 by partnering with manager DJ Piu and joining the influential entertainment company GR6 Eventos. This collaboration ushered in a new wave of success with tracks like "Ritmo Mexicano" and "Atura ou Surta," the latter surpassing 200 million views on KondZilla’s YouTube channel. These hits solidified his reputation as a leading artist in the funk carioca scene.
