About Tété

Tété, born in July 1975 in Dakar, Senegal, is a French singer-songwriter and guitarist renowned for his distinctive fusion of folk, soul, and melodic influences drawn from the Beatles and American musical traditions. Launching his career with the debut album *L’air de rien* (2001), Tété quickly established a unique sound that blends heartfelt lyricism with subtle guitar work. His major breakthrough came with the release of *À la Faveur de l’Automne* (2003), an album that not only earned gold certification but also cemented his status in contemporary French music. The title track of this album has become an enduring classic, celebrated for its poetic depth and melodic richness.

Marking two decades since this milestone, Tété reissued *À la Faveur de l’Automne* in October 2023, enhanced with nine bonus tracks, including five previously unreleased songs and four alternative versions, inviting both longtime fans and new listeners into his intimate artistic world. Throughout his career, Tété has been admired for his stripped-down, acoustic performances that emphasize a close, personal connection with his audience. His live shows often evoke the intimate atmosphere of a living-room concert, showcasing his authentic storytelling and craftsmanship. Over more than twenty years, Tété has maintained a steady artistic evolution, securing a lasting place in the French chanson landscape through his sincere and evocative musical expression.
