About Secret Cameras

Secret Cameras is a London-based dark synth rock duo distinguished by their dynamic fusion of intense rock rhythms and electronic soundscapes, marked by thunderous percussion and sharp, edgy synthesizers. They emerged on the music scene in 2017 with their self-titled six-track EP, expertly mixed by legendary producer David Bascombe, known for his work with influential bands such as Depeche Mode, Suede, and Placebo. This debut release quickly attracted attention from prominent UK radio stations including Radio X, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 2, and BBC London, as well as international broadcasters like Ireland’s RTE 2FM. Their music also earned features on Spotify playlists across France, Germany, and Japan, helping them cultivate a loyal and growing fanbase.

In 2020, during the early stages of the COVID-19 lockdown, Secret Cameras unveiled the single "The Silence," which garnered critical acclaim. BBC 6 Music’s Steve Lamacq praised the track as "majestic," and it was spotlighted on Amazon Music UK’s ‘Best New Bands’ playlist, solidifying their rising profile. Over the ensuing years, the duo has expanded their reach through a series of energetic live performances, highlighted by a strong showing at the Kendal Calling festival in 2022 and a sold-out headline show at London’s iconic Lexington venue in 2023. As they continue to evolve, Secret Cameras are preparing a follow-up EP slated for release alongside a UK tour, promising to push the boundaries of their distinctive dark electro-rock sound even further.
