Jochem Paap, professionally known as Speedy J, is a seminal figure in electronic music whose career launched in 1990 with his debut record on the influential Plus 8 label. Hailing from the Netherlands, Speedy J quickly carved out a reputation as a techno pioneer, blending razor-sharp club tracks with experimental sounds. His groundbreaking work is featured on landmark platforms such as Warp Records’ *Artificial Intelligence* series and Planet Mu, where he explored the boundaries of electronic music.

Demonstrating remarkable versatility, Speedy J ventured into ambient music through his releases on FAX +49-69/450464 Records, proving his ability to craft both immersive soundscapes and high-energy dancefloor anthems.
