About Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop, born James Newell Osterberg Jr., is a seminal figure in rock music, renowned for his raw energy and trailblazing influence on both the 1970s punk movement and the grunge wave of the 1990s. As the iconic frontman of the Stooges, he helped shape rock history with three groundbreaking albums that continue to inspire generations of artists. Launching a prolific solo career, Iggy Pop delivered landmark records like *Lust for Life* (1977), *The Idiot* (1977), *New Values* (1979), and *Blah Blah Blah* (1986), expanding his reputation as a fearless innovator.

His 2016 album *Post Pop Depression*, a collaboration with Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme, earned a Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album and led to the critically acclaimed *Live at Royal Albert Hall* DVD, which won Best Live Music Film at the UK Music Video Awards. Throughout his career, Iggy Pop remained musically adventurous with albums such as *Zombie Birdhouse*, *Brick by Brick* (1990), and *Free* (2019).
