About Gregorian

Gregorian is a groundbreaking musical project founded and produced by Frank Peterson, who is also known for co-founding Michael Cretu’s influential Enigma project. Since its debut with the album "Masters of Chant" (1999), Gregorian has gained widespread acclaim for its distinctive fusion of traditional Gregorian chant melodies with contemporary pop and rock hits. This innovative blend captivated audiences across Europe, with the debut album reaching Top Ten chart positions in nine countries.

Gregorian’s signature style involves transforming iconic songs from artists such as Peter Gabriel, Lenny Kravitz, Coldplay, Björk, Queen, and Tears for Fears into ethereal, chant-inspired arrangements. This creative approach not only reimagines familiar tracks but also bridges the gap between ancient musical traditions and modern sounds. The project’s continued success is exemplified by "Gregorian Christmas Chants" (2006), a seasonal album that sold over four million copies worldwide, proving the enduring appeal of this sacred-secular music fusion.
