About Exos

Exos is a seminal Icelandic techno artist whose career began in the mid-1990s, releasing his first EP at just 17 on Thule Records, a label renowned for its minimalist dub techno sound. Over the decades, Exos has built an extensive discography with over thirty vinyl releases and four full-length albums, charting his growth from dub-influenced minimalism to a harder, more experimental techno style. His signature sound has resonated globally through collaborations with acclaimed labels such as Figure, Delsin, трип records, BPitch Control, Mutual Rytm, and Tresor Records. Despite these partnerships, he remains deeply invested in his own imprint, Planet X, where he continues to push the boundaries of techno’s intensity and innovation. Exos’s ability to evolve while honoring his roots has cemented him as a pivotal figure in both Iceland’s electronic scene and the international techno community. His dynamic approach attracts underground purists and forward-thinking listeners alike, making him a constant influence on the evolving electronic music landscape.
