About Doppler

Doppler emerged onto the Irish music scene with a captivating debut single, "A Memory," which quickly gained traction over the summer by securing a spot on RTÉ Radio 1’s Recommends List for several consecutive weeks. The song’s accompanying video premiere on Hot Press sparked a "phenomenal reaction," according to A&R director Stuart Clark. Combining smart, catchy pop melodies with meticulously layered harmonies, Doppler’s sound draws comparisons to classic acts like Simon and Garfunkel, blending nostalgia with fresh, contemporary vibrancy.

"A Memory" amassed over 50,000 streams on Spotify and attracted the attention of notable figures such as The Specials guitarist Horace Panter, who became a dedicated fan and forged an unexpected friendship with Doppler’s frontman, Jamie. Esteemed Irish artists, including folk legend Christy Moore, have praised Doppler’s "great vocals and beautiful harmonies," while critics from The Irish Times applauded the music for its memorable and irresistible charm.

Following this breakthrough, Jamie secured a publishing deal with Dublin-based The Nucleolus, marking a significant step in Doppler’s promising career. Their ability to fuse sophisticated pop sensibilities with timeless melodic craftsmanship has positioned Doppler as one of Ireland’s most exciting emerging talents, poised for continued growth within the country’s vibrant contemporary music landscape.
