About Dunaviva

Dunaviva is a compelling Spanish rock duo known for their intense, genre-blending sound. Their music marries razor-sharp guitars and thunderous, anvil-like drumming with emotive lyrics and infectious melodies. Drawing from garage and noise rock’s raw energy, their style also weaves in 90s grunge vocals, catchy pop hooks, and rhythms influenced by punk, post-rock, post-hardcore, and contemporary emo. This eclectic fusion creates a dynamic listening experience that invites fans on a “choose your own adventure” journey through modern alternative rock.

The duo burst onto the scene in 2020 with their self-released debut EP, "Calígine," recorded at Estudios Delta in Vega Baja. This initial offering showcased their versatile approach with just two tracks, quickly earning attention for its emotional depth and sonic intensity. Building on this momentum, Dunaviva released their first full-length album, "Yermo" (2023), produced by Santi García at Ultramarinos Costa Brava and supported by Carcosa Records. This album expanded their artistic vision and solidified their place within the contemporary rock landscape.

Currently, Dunaviva is teasing material from their forthcoming second LP, developed between Valencia and Vega Baja. This new project promises a more mature and emotionally resonant evolution of their signature sound, reaffirming Dunaviva’s commitment to fearless musical exploration and authentic expression.
