About Kasabian

Kasabian, formed in Leicester in 1997, has established itself as one of the UK’s most influential indie rock bands over more than two decades. The group—fronted by Sergio Pizzorno (vocals, guitar, keyboards), alongside Chris Edwards (bass, vocals), Ian Matthews (drums), and Tim Carter (guitar, keyboards)—is celebrated for its electrifying live performances and innovative sound that blends indie rock with neo-psychedelia. Their distinctive style draws on both the raw energy of live concerts and the late-1950s art happenings, which infused creativity into public spaces, a theme vividly explored in their eighth studio album, "Happenings" (2024). This record follows the chart-topping "The Alchemist’s Euphoria" (2022) and pushes Kasabian into fresh sonic territory while maintaining the intensity that has earned them multiple Brit and NME Awards. Deeply connected to their Leicester roots, Kasabian continues to make their hometown a creative hub, culminating in their largest local performance to date at Victoria Park’s Summer Solstice II in July 2024. With a powerful global following, Kasabian stands as a torchbearer of modern British rock, consistently delivering anthemic, pulse-raising tracks that have solidified their place in the music landscape.
