About DREAMCATCHER

Dreamcatcher is a South Korean girl group that stands out in the K-pop scene for its unique fusion of dark, fantasy-inspired aesthetics with a powerful blend of dance-pop, rock, and metal. Originally debuting in 2014 as Minx under Happy Face Entertainment with five members, the group initially performed bright and bubbly pop, exemplified by their 2015 EP "Love Shake." In late 2016, after adding two new members, Handong and Gahyeon, they rebranded as Dreamcatcher, embracing a mature, edgy concept centered on horror motifs and intense rock elements.

Their official debut as Dreamcatcher came with the EP "Prequel" (2017), featuring singles like "Nightmare" and "Chase Me," which quickly earned them recognition on South Korean charts and internationally, including Japan’s Oricon and the U.S. Billboard World Albums charts. This breakthrough established Dreamcatcher as innovators, merging K-pop with alternative rock sounds and a cinematic, mysterious narrative.

Dreamcatcher cultivated a devoted global fanbase named InSomnia through extensive tours across Europe, Asia, South America, and Oceania. Their discography reflects consistent success, with albums such as "Dystopia: The Tree of Language" (2020) and "Dystopia: Road to Utopia" (2021), the latter reaching number one on Korean charts. Their 2022 full-length album "Apocalypse: Save Us" continued their momentum, securing a top-five position and reinforcing their reputation as pioneers in blending genre boundaries. Hits like "Piri" and "Deja Vu," the latter connected to the mobile game King's Raid, showcase their thematic depth and vocal strength, making Dreamcatcher a distinctive and internationally celebrated force in contemporary music.
