About Las Migas

Las Migas, a Barcelona-based collective, have spent over two decades redefining flamenco through a vibrant fusion of traditional and contemporary sounds. Their distinctive style blends flamenco with influences from rumba, Cuban rhythms, and Catalan folk, captivating audiences in more than 50 countries, including the United States, India, Egypt, Jamaica, and Hong Kong.

Since their debut album *Reinas del Matute* (year unspecified), Las Migas have released six studio albums, each showcasing their evolving artistry. Notably, their acclaimed albums *Cuatro* (2019) and *Libres* (2023) earned them the prestigious Premio MIN awards, while their consistent excellence secured three Latin Grammy nominations for Best Flamenco Album—in 2016, 2022, and 2024. Their triumphant win in 2022 solidified their status among contemporary flamenco’s elite.

In 2024, Las Migas released *Rumberas*, a project celebrating the rich heritage of rumba across Cuban, flamenco, and Catalan traditions, which garnered additional Latin Grammy recognition. Looking ahead to spring 2025, they plan to release *Flamencas*, a heartfelt return to the pure sound that defined their beginnings.

Throughout their career, Las Migas have collaborated with flamenco luminaries such as Estrella Morente, Tomatito, and Miguel Poveda, further enriching their sound. Their dynamic presence on social media has fostered a devoted global fanbase, ensuring their influence continues to resonate in the evolving landscape of Spanish music.
